Women Seem Less Pleasant

Many women press to be pleasant and accepted in a male-dominated environment. That drive is innate and often unconscious and is baked into the landscape of our country's culture. For centuries, it was essential for women to survive.

When someone has been overly compliant, overly agreeable, and overly caretaking of others to feel safe, it can feel starkly imbalanced to those around them when they start to heal from their emotional and relational burdens.

If you have women laying down these burdens in your life, please understand you are not being asked to carry them for us; you're being asked to carry what was yours all along.

Before you start in with the "WOMEN HATE MEN," please take a breath.

Women who hold men accountable for their feelings

...these women are the ones loving men well.

Women who hold men accountable for their behavior

...these women are the ones loving men well.

Women who bring their gifts to the world rather than only being scaffolding to hold up others

....these women are the ones loving men well.

It's not loving to give passes to those with a lack of emotional accountability simply because they have a penis.

We are done with that.

And to the accountable, available, and conscious men, we see you. We see you so clearly because you're not demanding we amplify you.
