Because so many of our wounds happen in a community, finding a safe community to heal in magnifies the healing power. It is essential that the environment, and all communication in groups be safe. An Internal Family Systems focus in group ensures the safety of each member as they walk their journey.
Healing in groups is a profoundly deep, life-changing opportunity. It is different from community groups, process groups, 12-step groups, or small faith-based led groups. The IFS facilitator plays an important role of keeping the group on track and honoring each person’s journey while learning to do community well.
In our group sessions, you’ll be one of eight or fewer individuals working with a facilitator to gain self-awareness, connection, and safety in the community. Group Internal Family Systems provides an opportunity to heal as we hear the perspectives, stories, and feedback from others.
At Hedman Wellness, we love groups. It changes the way we heal from the damage of life.
Individual sessions are powerful and effective. Often, after some time in individual IFS, it is a good time to move into a new realm of healing in one of our groups.
Many of us weren't given the tools early in life to know how to be honest, authentic, or vulnerable, and still be SAFE at the same time. We provide tools and experiences to step into this process with great care.
We have found that most people are very anxious about group to begin with, and then they ask for more group opportunities when our time together is up. It changes the way we see the world, others, and ourselves. And the facilitator is there to walk beside you at each step.
Don't hesitate to contact our office about new groups beginning soon.
